East Lake is conveniently located within approximately 4 miles of I-285 and within approximately 2 miles of I-20. East Lake Drive, one of the main streets in the neighborhood, connects directly to Ponce de Leon Drive, which connects midtown Atlanta to Decatur. According to residents, one of the chief advantages to living in East Lake is quick access to Atlanta or Decatur and very little traffic on neighborhood streets. East Lake is approximately 6 miles east of downtown Atlanta and 2 miles south of the City of Decatur.
